Laguiole, this small village of Aveyron gave its name to a famous pocket knife with a curved handle adorned with a mythical bee. It was very popular with a folding knife in the last century by peasants who went on transhumance. Laguiole is not a knife brand but a form of unprotected knife, currently many cutlers make this model using techniques and especially with very different materials. Claude Dozorme brought his signature and was the first to manufacture in France the Laguiole steak knives with a fixed blade. All the knives of its manufacture bear its name, proof of quality and safety for the consumer as for the high quality of the materials used but also as for its place of manufacture.

As the other Claude Dozorme steak knives, the blade of the Laguiole steak knife is made with X50CrMoV15 steel, a very high quality steel. This steak knife cut very well and it’s easy to resharpen.

These knives, whose manufacture is signed Claude Dozorme, are 100% made in France in the workshops of Master Cutler since 1902. All stages of manufacture are integrated internally, which guarantees knives craft, of very high quality, 100% French.

ONLINE RETURN POLICY:

We want you to LOVE your purchase! We will happily accept returns/exchanges postmarked within 14 days of purchase on unworn, unused new products with original tags attached.

In order to return your item(s), please email us directly at info@shopepergne.com or call the store at 615-840-6341 for shipping instructions on all returns/exchanges. Let us know you are sending an item/items back so we can be on the lookout for the shipment. Please let us know if you would like to exchange the item so we can check and reserve inventory.

Please note:

  • Refunds are credited to the original form of payment
  • Returns will be processed 3-5 business days after Epergne receives the item(s). Bank issued credit cards may take 5-7 business days for the refund to post to your account.
  • Shipping charges are not refunded
  • Exchanges are processed as inventory allows and customers will be charged for the additional shipping of the exchanged item(s).
  • ALL DISCOUNTED or SALE ITEMS are "FINAL SALE"and CANNOT be exchanged or returned.
  • Customers are responsible for the shipping on all returns and exchanges.

IN-STORE RETURN POLICY:

Because we offer an approval program (where customers are allowed to take items to try at home for 24 hours before purchasing if they provide Epergne with credit card details), items may be exchanged or returned for STORE CREDIT within 14 business days of purchase with original receipt or 30 days with a gift receipt. Store credit is good for 1 year. NO cash, check, or credit card refunds will be given. Returned items must be unworn/unused with any original tags attached/intact. DISCOUNTED or SALE items are FINAL SALE and cannot be exchanged or returned.
